TCU senior Ana Cetnik and her partner sophomore Anna Sydorska captured the
2006 Wilson/ITA Southwest Regional doubles title on Monday, Oct. 23. The pair defeated fives teams and went undefeated to claim the championship and automatically qualify for national indoors Nov. 2-5 at The Ohio State University.
In the finals, the duo was down 5-1 to LSU before storming back to win five straight games for the 6-5 lead. They eventually won the match, 8-6.
Cetnik also had an outstanding singles tournament. After losing the first match, she won five straight singles matches and won the consolation bracket. In the championship singles match of the back draw, Cetnik defeated Texas A&M's Anna Blagodarova 6-1, 6-4.
