Frogs power past Broncs for sixth straight victory

With the home portion of the regular season drawing to a close, the TCU baseball team (35-16) continued its hot play of late, earning its sixth consecutive victory with a 13-3 win over UT-Pan American Sunday afternoon at Lupton Stadium. Senior Steve Ellington hit two home runs and Matt Carpenter hit his team-leading sixth long ball of the season.

Trailing 2-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, the TCU Horned Frogs put up a four spot and held on for the 4-3 win over UT-Pan American Saturday night at Lupton Stadium. A costly error by the Broncs led to two unearned runs in the inning. A Clint Arnold steal of home proved to be the game-winning run. Andrew Cashner tossed four innings of relief to earn his eighth win of the season.
