A former Horned Frog athlete, Heiss is in his 22nd year with the TCU Ticket Office operations. Heiss has served as ticket manager at TCU since Aug. 1, 1998. Prior to that, he served as Assistant Ticket Manager.

A pitcher on the 1983 and 1984 TCU baseball teams, Heiss is a native Fort Worthian. He had been a schoolboy standout at Fort Worth's Southwest High School, helping his school to three straight district baseball championships. Heiss was honored with the Academic Achievement Award for TCU baseball in 1984, while receiving his B.S. degree in communications a month later.

An avid outdoorsman, Heiss is married to the former Laura Ann Neal of Fort Worth, and they have three sons - Hunter, Danny and Ryan.
