The TCU Athletics Department selected Johan de Beer (Pretoria, South Africa | Pretoria Boys H.S.) and Cheryl Martin (Las Vegas, Nev. | Spring Valley H.S.) as its Student-Athletes of the Week for their efforts this past week for the Horned Frogs.

In his second collegiate tournament - de Beer posted a three-round total of 210 to capture his first title at The Prestige at PGA West, including a four-under-par score of 68 on the final day of action. The TCU newcomer recorded birdies on two of the final four holes of action and posted eight birdies over the final 36 holes of The Prestige at PGA West en route to leading the Horned Frogs to their first tournament victory of the season.

In the 84th minute of action against Utah - Martin netted her second goal of the season after heading a ball into the goal off of a corner kick by Katie Taylor to give the Purple and White a 2-0 victory over the Utes. Martin helped TCU hold Utah off the scoreboard allowing the Utes to tally three shots for the entire match, including one in the second half of action. Against BYU - Martin helped shut down Katie Larkin to only two shots for the 2007 All-American and one goal for the Cougars.
