FORT WORTH, Texas -- Drew Harris has been named
TCUs Associate Director of Athletics Media Relations, Athletics Media
Relations Director Steve Fink, announced today. He will be the schools
primary contact for womens basketball, swimming and golf.
Harris, 24, comes to TCU from the professional soccer ranks, as he
most recently served as the Assistant Public Relations Manager for the
Kansas City Wizards of Major League Soccer (MLS). Prior to his stint with
the Wizards, Harris worked as a media relations intern for both the Kansas
City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals.
"Were happy to have Drew join our team," said Fink. "Along with a
strong work ethic, he has hands-on experience in several sports, has an
extensive background in writing and understands the day-to-day tasks of
the
media relations department."
Harris earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism & Mass
Communication and Political Science from Iowa State University in 1998. He
was the sports editor and a reporter for the Iowa State Daily college
newspaper where he covered several sports, primarily baseball, basketball
and swimming.
