IRVING, Texas - Well over 100 TCU student-athletes were among more than 1,800 from around the league who earned recognition to the Commissioner's Honor Roll during the 2004-05 academic year, Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced today. Student-athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and participate in a conference-sponsored sport.

Of the 15 institutions that competed in the league in 2004-05, the Horned Frogs' 133 members on the list ranked sixth among all schools. Cincinnati placed the highest number of student-athletes on the honor roll, producing 173 members. USF followed with 170, while Louisville ranked third with 164, Saint Louis was fourth with 160 and Tulane had 136.

The following TCU sports were recognized on the list: women's swimming (22), soccer (20), baseball (16), football (16), men's track (12), women's tennis (10), volleyball (8), women's golf (8), men's golf (6), women's track (6), men's tennis (5), men's basketball (3) and women's basketball (1).
