There will be a TCU Cheer Clinic held April 11-12, from 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. Tryouts for the Co-Ed Squad will be at 11:00 a.m. on April 13 and All-Girl Squad will be held on April 13 starting at 3:00 p.m. at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

The 2003-2004 Cheerleading Program will be holding two cheerleading tryouts this date. The first tryout will be for Co-Ed, and up to 10 couples will be chosen. The All-Girl tryout will follow at 3:00 p.m., and up to 16 ladies will be chosen. Both squads will be picked and judged by the TCU Coaching staff.

Those who tryout for the Co-Ed team and do not make the list can have the opportunity to tryout for the All-Girl team. The coaching staff will freely express issues and opinions with those candidates who should consider one team over the other as a realistic choice for tryout.

If your tumbling and stunting skills are weak the coaching staff will freely express opinions to the candidate as to their abilities and performance levels at the clinics before tryouts.

Basic Requirements for TCU Cheerleaders:
* Must be currently enrolled in the University with 12 credit hours.
* Incoming freshmen or transfer students must show a letter of acceptance. (So apply early to TCU, no letter no tryouts - no exceptions!)
* Must maintain a 2.0 grade point average.
* Must be in good standing with the University and the Cheer organization.
* Must have health and hospitalization insurance.
* Must be in good physical condition.
* Must be willing to make a one-year contractual commitment to the program.
* Interview process day of tryouts.
* Cuts will be made by the Head Coach throughout the clinic process if necessary.

Minimum Stunting & Physical Tumbling Requirements:
Tumbling - standing back tuck, round off back tuck, toe touch back handspring
Stunting - toss to hands, extensions, liberty
Jumps - toe touch, pike, herky
Any abilities beyond these basic requirements will carry more influence in the judging process.
