Feb. 28, 2008 Fort Worth, Texas - The TCU Sports Review covers all the action of the past week and takes a look forward to future Horned Frog competition.
Men's Basketball
The home win improved the Frogs' record to 13-12 overall and 5-7 in Mountain West Conference action.
This Week:
The Frogs will also play UNLV in Las Vegas on March 1st. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. Central Time.
Women's Basketball
The win was the Lady Frogs' fifth straight road victory as it improved their record to 17-9 overall and 10-2 in Mountain West Conference play.
This Week:
TCU will return home to play UNLV on March 1st. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. Central Time at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
Baseball
The Frogs evened the series on Saturday afternoon as they beat the Titans, 4-2. Sophomore Steven Maxwell (The Woodlands, Texas/The Woodlands H.S.) threw seven solid innings allowing only two runs on four hits. With a scoreless inning of pitching, junior Andrew Cashner (Montgomery, Texas/Conroe H.S.) earned his first career save. The Frogs dropped the final game of the series against Cal State Fullerton with a score of 7-4. Junior Matt Vern (Lake Jackson, Texas/Brazoswood H.S.) had three RBI's in the contest while sophomore Tyler Lockwood (Sugar Land, Texas/Kempner H.S.) threw two scoreless innings for the Frogs.

Men's Tennis
Junior Kriegler Brink (Gauteng, South Africa) improved his singles' record to 9-0 as he beat Minnesota's Mark Kepler 7-5, 6-1. The Frogs suffered their first loss of the season to 15th-ranked Oklahoma State, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon. Senior Cosmin Cotet (Iasi, Romania/University of Iasi) defeated No. 10th-ranked Oleksandr Nedovyesov at the singles' position with a score 4-6, 6-2, 7-6.

Women's Tennis
TCU also knocked off No. 16th-ranked William & Mary on Sunday by a score of, 4-3, as Sydorska won her fourth consecutive singles' match by winning in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. KatariinaTuohimaa (Helsinki, Finland) also won her singles' match by a score of 7-6, 6-2.
This Week:
Equestrian
Senior Kindel Huffman (Norco, Calif./Norco H.S.) earned Most Valuable Player honors in the Equitation over Fences event with a score of 78. That win made Huffman the first Frog to an MVP in all four events in the same season. Making her first appearance since October, senior Jessica Bailey (Batavia, Ohio/Archbishop McNicholas H.S.) also earned MVP honors in the Horsemanship with a score of 74. With the win, the Lady Frogs improved their record to 4-7 overall. The Frogs will be out action until March 8th when they compete against Baylor in Mansfield, Texas. TCU Athletic Media Relations
