Fall 2006 Academic All-Mountain West Conference Team announced
Feb. 2, 2007 FORT WORTH, Texas - 36 TCU student-athletes were named to the fall 2006 Academic All-Mountain West Conference Team, the league office announced on Thursday.
To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team. Fall sports include men's and women's cross country, football, women's soccer and women's volleyball.
TCU women's soccer led the way with 12 selections, as Lizzie Batten, Katy Buchanan, Becky Claudat, Kelly Faerber, Casey Glass, Courtney Johnson, Breanne Kaldheim, Lizzy Karoly, Michelle Nguyen, Lesley Parkinson, Anna Paulson and Lauren Pope were honored.
Men's and women's cross country followed with 11, as Houston Bolin, Cody Cook, Michael Garcia, Alex Morris and J.T. Reinert were selected from the men, while Lisa Baity, Hallie Bullin, McHale Davis, Cassie Hostick, Danielle Selner and Ashley Young were selected from the women.
Volleyball honorees included Emily Allen, Katelyn Blackwood, Calli Corley, Agnes Nemeth, Lauren Otto, Anna Vaughn and Devon Kirk. Football boasted six selections, which included Chad Andrus, Brent Hecht, Josh Karlin, Peter LoCoco, Chris Manfredini and Shae Reagan. Fall 2006 Academic All-Mountain West Conference Team |
