FORT WORTH -- TCU has named senior women's basketball guard Antoinette Thompson and junior sprinter Charles Silmon its Athletes of the Week for their recent performances.

Thompson recorded team-highs with 13 points and seven rebounds in the Horned Frogs' Mountain West road opener at San Diego State on Wednesday night. In Saturday's contest against Colorado State, the Fort Worth native led her team to its first conference win of the season with 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting.

Thompson also paced the Frog defense against the Rams, tying her career-high in steals with three as TCU held the opposition to no second half three-point attempts.

Silmon, of Waco, had an outstanding weekend at the Texas Top-10 Invitational in College Station with a career-best 6.66 in the 60-yard dash to claim the individual title. It was the fourth best 60-meter time in conference history and is currently the fourth fastest time in the NCAA this season.
