Ortiz, Lacy named TCU Male and Female Student-Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Women's basketball's Natasha Lacy and football's Chase Ortiz were named TCU's Male and Female Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
Ortiz helped the Horned Frogs pick up a 27-24 victory over Iowa State in the EV1.net Houston Bowl on Saturday. The League City, Texas, native had three sacks for a loss of 22 yards among his four stops behind the line of scrimmage. Ortiz began the year as a third-team performer before earning a starting job and first-team All-Mountain West Conference accolades.
Lacy, who was named the Co-MWC Player of the Week on Monday, led TCU to a 70-58 victory over Texas-Arlington on Friday. She tallied a career-high-tying 23 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field and a 9-for-11 effort at the free-throw line. The El Paso, Texas, native also grabbed seven rebounds, dished out four assists and snagged four steals in the win.
